The Phillies squared off against the New York Mets today in New York coming off a loss yesterday and looking to salvage this series today on getaway day. The weather is perfect for them this afternoon.
I am out for a business lunch today while watching the game and my waitress asked me who my favorite Phillies player was… I had to think about that for a while. I told her I guess it depended on the position. I then told her I liked Castellanos and also Nola.
The waitress, Shanna, responded and it was epic, she said upon me telling her that Aaron Nola was 0-5 …( she is a Baltimore Orioles fan), she told me exactly what Aaron needs to do to get out of his doldrums . ‘He needs to get his head right’ and I agreed. Aaron Nola’s season is far from ‘right’ so far.
But it’s a beautiful day in New York. It’s a beautiful day for baseball. Phillies ace, Zack Wheeler has the mound for the Phillies. iI was going to go up to the stadium, in New York. but due to the fires in the forest up through the parkway in New Jersey.. t
I decided not to take the trip. Now, considering the Phillies don’t go to New York all that much… traveling for the fans have changed a bit. You used to be able to go up to a series in either New York or Washington many times during the season but due to the change in the schedule that has changed. Now you must choose between different times to make those trips if you’re a fan who travels to games in a different city with the Phillies playing.
You may not have wanted to see the Phillies play lately. They haven’t been consistent, but they are just starting out in this season. That’s not even the end of April yet so don’t fret. Don’t fear the Phillies will be there.
