Phils rally again to gain a late win

The rally is back in the Philadelphia Phillies offense. The Phils needed to come back last night after a rare J.P. Crawford Grand Slam, his first ever, and only the 28th career HR by Crawford. Of course, J.P. Crawford is very familiar to some Phillies fans, the team drafted him originally and he was supposed to be a big part of the Phillies for many years before he was traded off on December 3, 2018, to Seattle for Jean Segura in a deal that included a couple other players.

Phillies pitcher Taijuan Walker, who was originally drafted by the Seattle Mariners, faced his old team (he spent 4 seasons with the Mariners before being traded to Arizona in a deal that brought Segura to the Mariners) last night in Philadelphia. Last night was the 5th start of the season for Walker for the Phillies, it ended up being a no-decision for him, as he gave up 5 ER on 5 H in 4 innings pitched. The Philllies chipped away at a 5-2, 2nd-inning deficit, to come back for a 6-5 win.

Once again, it was Nick Castellanos who spurred on a rally, he went 3-4 with 3 RBI last night in a very nice win by the Phils to bring their season record to 12-13, and a home record of 7-5. Nick has been on fire in the past couple games.

The Phillies wrap up the Seattle series at home with a 1:05 PM game this afternoon in Philadelphia before hitting the road and heading out to Houston for 3-games over the weekend in a World Series rematch, and then Los Angeles to face the Dodgers, on Monday, Tuesday, (both games 10:10 PM Eastern) and then Wednesday (4:10 PM Eastern).
