Phils with ice water in their veins take on the Braves

Ranger Suarez just had 7 runners on base, and the Braves could only score 1 in the whole game so far as the Fightin Phillies have stuck to a 4-1 lead in what appears to be divine intervention so far in this game from the baseball gods. As this playoffs season continues, I can only think that the Phillies could be on their way to greatness and go deep into this playoffs season with all that we’ve seen happen so far. Rob Thomson must have a direct line to the baseball gods in this game, leaving Ranger in, and it appears he may even get the win, appearing so shakey on the day. Nick Castellanos has gotten hot at the right time, he already has a single, and a double early in the game.

Ranger has the luck of the Irish early in this game, he’s had many on base but the Braves can’t capitalize early.

The Phils appear bulletproof in Game 1 of the NLDS in Atlanta this afternoon. Do you like afternoon games? Well, they just announced the rest of the series with the Phils and the Braves and all the remaining games will be played in the afternoon. Friday will be a 4:37 PM Eastern start, and if necessary on Saturday, a 2:07 PM start is on tap. And the afternoon games continue to Sunday if needed for a Game 5 at 4:37 PM from Atlanta, again, if needed.

This game in Atlanta is proving that the Phils can hang with the Braves so far, it seems that all the pundits may be wrong again. Most picked the Braves to dominate in this series. Can the Phillies hold on to win Game 1?
