Why do the Phils have a desert dilemma?

There are a few teams that the Phillies have played this year that they just can’t get out of their own way against. The New York Mets proved that earlier in the month when they took 3 of 4 games vs. the Phillies at home, now the Phils have their back up against the wall in Arizona and are in danger of getting swept.

Did I mention yet that the Phillies have had 25 total runs scored against them in the two losses so far against Arizona? How about the fact that the Phils now have a 33-45 record against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field overall?

There just seem to be stadiums that the Phillies just don’t do well in. Consider the Phillies are 0-4 against the Texas Rangers this year and 0-2 against the Toronto Blue Jays. And then there are the days of the week for the Phils, they are 6-14 now on Tuesday games and 8-14 on Sunday games.

The Phillies though are still in position for a playoff run, hopefully, the team can get a much-needed win tonight in AZ before moving into San Francisco for 3 games. The team is still in the driver’s seat for the playoffs this year, and unless there is a complete collapse, the playoff appearance with being the first since 2011.
