Kyle Schwarber will be representing the Philadelphia Phillies this year at the All-Star Game. It’s well deserved even though he had a very rough start to the season and was barely batting over .200 for much of the first two months of the year.

Kyle is still batting .219 on the season, but that doesn’t change the fact that he is contributing to the team majorly since Bryce Harper went down to injury a few weeks ago.

He was traded from Washington on July 29th last year after the 2021 All-Star Game. Kyle didn’t get to bat though in 2021 at that game though. Nick Castellanos was there as a member of the Reds and JT Realmuto was at that game representing the Phillies.

He cited that it may through off his timing and things like that so, you never know and this is something that a lot of major leaguers have talked about when passing on the chance to participate in the derby. This year the HR Derby is on Monday night, July 18th.
Cardinals pitcher Miles Mikolas burned incense on the field yesterday afternoon prior to the game in an effort to break the Cardinals current bad streak at the stadium, maybe it worked as the Cards did pull out the 4-3 victory over the Phillies.
