It was a joy to open up the year 2022 with a Phillies Talk Podcast, even through the lockout that fans are enduring. Truth is we haven’t been impacted yet, so it’s all about players and ownership working things out. Now, if they don’t get their acts together soon, the fans will way in heavily and start to do what they do during every lockout/work stoppage that baseball has endured. No, this isn’t the end of baseball itself whatever happens with these negotiations, but it’s individual fans that will sometimes lose interest in the sport, further eroding the fanbase that supports it.
