Alright, the playoffs have come down to two teams, the Houston Astros and the Atlanta Braves, the World Series starts tonight at 8:05 PM Eastern – who do you like?

The Braves sort of hung in there just like the Phillies did, but at the end of the regular season, they put the Phillies to bed with a very important series with them, dimming the Phillies hopes for a chance for the playoffs.

Once dominant in the NL East for many years in a row, the Braves now have a chance to win it all in 2021. I am rooting for the NL East team that put the Phillies away, I like the Braves in 6 games, but that is just a guess, do not use this as any wagering advice if you play sports gambling.

The team desperately needed some reliable bullpen pitching in 2021, at the trade deadline, the team seemed to indicate they were in ‘add’ mode. Apparently, that was just for show and the press though, because as a team Phillies management didn’t make too many real additions to this team. So they spoke like we were going to really improve, but it never happened.
Sometimes that’s what makes teams great, additions to needs a ballclub has at the right time. So far, the Phillies are still looking for that combination. Even though the team hung in there towards the end of the season.
Well, it starts fresh tonight, in Houston for Game 1 and 2, then it’s off to Atlanta for Games 3-4-5 – hey, the MLB took the marquee game away from Atlanta with the All-Star Game being moved, then the team does well enough to get into the World Series, so Atlanta will shine anyway. Take that Commish of the MLB and you can’t ‘move’ this World Series out of Atlanta.
