Nick Pivetta really has to start choosing his words more carefully. The former Phillies pitcher has crossed a line of appreciation for a team that brought him along through his career. He’s now 6-3 for the Red Sox this year, and he’s got a somewhat lofty 4.00 ERA – and the Red Sox think so much of him, that they pulled him out of a game where he had a ‘no-hitter’ going in the 7th inning. What kind of team would do that? I wonder what Pivetta has to say about that.
We know what Nick said against the Phillies, he bashed them with a comment or two that was reported in a blog here. And yes, we had Pivetta and stuck with him far too long in my opinion. Plus the fact that Pivetta is not an ‘iron clad’ Red Sox player. They happened to pick him up via trade on August 21, 2020, but he’s sounding very unappreciative in the fact that the Phillies were the team to nurture him and bring him along.
Pivetta’s been with the Red Sox now for a bit of 2020 and now in ’21 –
