Phils appearance in the playoffs likely, but where?

More than half the MLB will make the playoffs in 2020, a move that will draw more interest in the post season for more teams. The way the Phillies have been playing lately, combined with the way the Braves starting rotation is starting to come apart is signalling that the Phils will be among the playoff teams when they start on September 29th.

Let that sink in, just 20 days from today, the MLB will be in the postseason. But where? The Phillies have now posted a 21-18 record currently in 2nd in the NL East. The Braves appear to be in ‘fade’ mode while the Marlins appear to have some spunk in them yet, they beat the Braves last night 8-0.

There has been talk that the MLB will move the teams to two locations for the playoffs and then possibly one single location for the World Series. Talks are still on about all of this, and we’re only 20 days away from the start of such playoff games. Why the delay from the MLB in finalizing these plans?

When big money is involved you can almost bet that the owners will want to keep this ‘half the league’ gets in mentality for baseball, like they do in hockey and basketball. The regular season in those sports is almost a joke, why go and waste your money on a regular season game if half the league is getting into the playoffs? That is what we used to like about baseball, only a select set of teams would be making it to the postseason.
