PHILADELPHIA- (February 6, 2020) – NBC Sports Philadelphia, the home of the Authentic Fan, is sending Phillies Insider Jim Salisbury and baseball analyst Ricky Bottalico on the road to Clearwater. The duo will drive to Spring Training, and fans can follow along on Making the Trip.

NBC Sports Philadelphia’s social media channels will be posting numerous photos, videos and anecdotes surrounding their trip on @NBCSPhilly. Salisbury will also be posting on his twitter account Jim Salisbury.
Phillies fans are invited to send Jim and Ricky off at the Wawa in Folsom (1730 MacDade Blvd., Folsom, PA) on Friday at 7 am, for a hometown pep rally with local friends and neighbors, including Wawa’s own mascot Wally Goose, giveaways, and special liberty latte beverage samples to toast the duo’s departure!
Notable stops along the Making the Trip route include:
- Nationals Park – home of the World Series Champion Washington Nationals
- (Jim) Salisbury, NC
- Spartanburg, SC – Duncan Park – Where Bottalico made his minor league debut
- Dallas, GA – Zack Wheeler’s hometown
- Atlanta, GA – former home of Fulton County Stadium, where Bottalico made his Major League debut
- Clearwater, FL – Arrive Sunday
- Ricky and Jim will be filling up with Wawa food and fuel along the route
