It’s the 40th Anniversary of the World Series win for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and to honor this and one of the Pirate’s star players, MLB Network has put together a Profile video on Dave Parker. November 25, 2019 – Following the 40th anniversary celebration of the 1979 World Series champion Pittsburgh Pirates, MLB Network today announced that one of the stars of the “We Are Family” Pirates lineup, Dave Parker, is the focus of the latest installment of the MLB Network Presents documentary series, titled The Cobra at Twilight. Premiering on Thursday, December 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET, the 90-minute film looks back on the life and 19-year MLB career of “The Cobra,” from 1978 NL MVP, seven-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion to his current battle with Parkinson’s disease.
