The team is still 2.0 GB on the Wild Card race, they are surrounded again by the Mets who have stormed back to be relevant again and putting the Diamondbacks back to 3.5 GB after handing them a 4-game sweep, the Cubs, and the Brewers.
The Red Sox are out of it, they have been failing this month, and their GM was fired because of it. Much different story in the Phillies, that this team has been rebuilding and retooling for years, and there hasn’t been the same hot seat as other teams have had.
