The weather at CBP was hardly conducive to good baseball weather. The Phillies made the most of it though on the field by scrapping with the Pittsburgh Pirates and then having Ben Revere walk them off in the 9th with a rare home run from him.
In fact, the weather was so poor, the Phillies felt sorry for the patrons of the game last night that they offered a free exchange for any game in April except Opening Day of course, and that doesn’t happen all that often anymore from the Phils.
Aaron Harang kept the Phils in this game on the mound last night, and though the Pirates took a lead when Justin DeFratus was on the mound, the Phils did what was needed to earn the win.
The Pirates committed 4 errors on the night to help the Phillies along with the win. Jonathan Papelbon picked up the win for the Phillies, it was his second win of the Spring Training season.
