Baseball gets ready for another wave of doping scandal

The Phillies have been playing terribly, so in an attempt for try to forget the fact that they have now went 2-12 after the All-Star Break and they are now 50-60 on the season, this blog will digress a little bit to find bigger fish to fry, and with the news of big time stars like Ryan Braun and Alex Rodriguez making the headlines of late, this story is the tops in baseball today.

It was reported in the New York Times that is wasn’t the sleuths from the MLB or their investigation service that broke the story about this latest scandal to hit the MLB concerning the doping issue that seems to have plagued the game in the past 15 or 20 years, it was far more simpler to break this major story that this large organization like the MLB is, how about a $4,000 investment that had gone sour sound.

As simple as it was, a deal gone bad with the owner of the Biogenesis clinic in Florida, a man named Anthony Bosch, who wasn’t a doctor, but paraded around in a white smock and prescribed items to multi-millionaire baseball players who had one goal in common, to use steroids to stay at the top of their game, even though it’s consequences meant that they would be thrown out of baseball and ridiculed for the rest of their careers. The simplest error spilled the beans on yet another chapter that baseball desperately wants to avoid, but somehow now has more of it to deal with; the doping of baseball players.

A business deal gone bad from an investor in the failed Biogenesis clinic exposed the whole underworld of baseball that only comes to light when one of these scandals breaks. What happened to all of the strict testing, is it just a fraud to make the public think baseball is finally doing something to make baseball clean? The MLB never even ruled on the status of others that have been caught in the drug scandal, how will it deal with this scandal?

Fans are unhappy and mad that nothing is really done about it, and despite a season ending ban for Ryan Braun and expected result of Alex Rodriguez getting banned in the same manner, fans are demanding more.
