The truth came out after the game, and anyone that watches Roy Halladay pitch on a regular basis knew it was coming. Halladay announced that he was indeed suffering from shoulder pain and that explains the last two starts that left a lot of fans speechless when they saw the way Roy had very little command of his pitches and had a terrible first inning, but went on to make a statement and score 9 ER off Doc before he got the hook.

It’s no shame in admitting you’re hurt, but when you go out there and get humiliated, fans start to take notice and that’s exactly what happened in Halladay’s case as he made the announcement of his ‘injury’ to the press. Just what is the injury is a mystery, is this a continuation of what Halladay felt last year? Only a doctor’s exam will tell us that, but it was very tough to watch Roy on the mound today as he just couldn’t get anything going today with his sore shoulder.

Ruben Amaro Jr, is almost lost for words on what is wrong with this Phillies team, and if things don’t start changing soon, he’ll be out to probably set a couple more players into the trade winds if the Phillies are far behind in mid-June or so, we’ll have to keep a watch on that, but one thing that we know for sure now is that the Doc is going to see the real doc and find out what is wrong with him.
