Ok, the votes are in… yes, all three to four weeks of them. So, we’re apparently going to see some baseball being played this year. According to what we’re reading on twitter, and this morning in the newspapers.
But how the world has changed in the last 60 days and several months before. Baseball had a chance to really shine, but it lost that chance when owners and players went back and forth in a dance that didn’t change much over the past 6 weeks of ‘negotiating.’ The best chance baseball had was to be ready to play by July 4th weekend, and they blew it… Mom, and Apple Pie and … I’m not even going to say baseball.Embed from Getty Images
The baseball players and owners should be shamed, not only are we living still in a Covid-19 environment, we have to put up with lameness from both sides on the game that a lot of people love but many now will love less.
Yes, players you’re going to be overpaid as you previously were, and yes owners you’ll collect more than enough from TV revenue to stock your home pantries with groceries. God, we’ve learned something about both sides of baseball in this epic showdown between them, this game is not the same, it’s morphing into a monster.Embed from Getty Images
