Donaldson has been hot, and the Phillies manager seem to let him wreck this team

As was said yesterday, the Braves are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now, they proved that again last night against the Phillies. Atlanta was 9-1  (winners of 18 of their last 21) coming into last night’s game, now they moved ahead in the season series over the Phils 7-6 with the 7-2 win last night. Aaron Nola got the loss for the Phils he’s now 12-5 on the year.

Atlanta is coming off of winning it’s 30 series of the year with the series win over the weekend while playing the Nationals. Only 2 other teams have won 30 series or more this year, the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Harper strikes out but doesn’t agree with the call

The Phillies offense yielded 2 HR but very little of anything else, the Braves scored 2 and 2 in the first and second inning then 3 runs off of reliever Nick Pivetta and that was the ballgame for the Phils.

Josh Donaldson has been killing the Phillies all year long, but we keep pitching to him, he had 3 RBI last night. That is something that bothers me about Gabe Kapler, he does nothing usually to try to minimize the hot batters on the other team.

It’s Max Fried 16-4 vs Jason Vargas 6-7 tonight, the Phils need to dig in and do something in this game, the Braves just can’t wait to get into the Phillies bullpen and they did it last night against Pivetta. 25,071 was the paid attendance last night at Citizens Bank Park.
