May The Force be with the Phillies (And it has!)

Phils all smiles last night on the victory

Yup, the Phillies are having a lot of fun again on the baseball diamond. And before I go on much further, I must tell my readers, “May the Force be with you,” an awesome promotion that baseball has jumped on for May 4th. Winning can make everything seem like more fun. Rhys Hoskins even made it over to Wells Fargo Center to ‘ring the bell’ before the Sixers basketball game on Thursday night. (The Sixers won that game too!)

The Phillies took Game 1 of the series at home 4-2 last night with the Nationals, and haven’t we seen those Washington Nationals a lot already this early season?  Last night was the 6th time that the Phils have played the Nationals and the season series is now even at 3-3.

The Phillies have now won 7 of their last 9 games at home, that’s very good. Along the same lines of the subject of being home, it really makes me concerned when I hear that home crowd fans are booing Bryce Harper at times already. This is really ridiculous, if you’re at the stadium and someone near you boos, let them have it. You can drown them out, and take them to task for booing, it make the whole fanbase sound bad, and I’ve been up there before, it’s always the loudmouth beer drinking losers that want to make themselves knows by booing for the most part.

Rhys has really benefited by having Bryce Harper on this team, the two are like brothers

The home series rolls on tonight in Philly, with the Phillies version of the one-two punch or the ‘bash brothers’ if you will in Hoskins and Harper firing on all cylinders, there is no reason that this team can propel itself straight into the playoffs. Arrieta and Corbin square off in tonight’s 7:05 PM match up.

Tear jerker alert: The Phillies will officially retire Jimmy Rollins tonight at CBP, I already thought Jimmy retired, but no folks this is making it official! I suspect a few wet eyes around the ballpark as they roll Jimmy’s career on the Jumbotron in left field, he’s a classy guy and very much like Larry Bowa, was an integral part of many winning days of Phillies baseball.
